DRW Consulting was launched in 2019.  The founder, Danielle Walkiewicz, originally set out to maximize the speed of innovation for each of her clients through refining business processes, leveraging internal strengths and providing an analytical and gated approach to pairing internal strengths with market opportunity.    In the wake of the pandemic, a new stable of unmet needs emerged and she quickly pivoted to support companies with the challenges of workforce instability and reduced operating budgets.  More than ever, the need for workflow continuity and efficient processes are critical.  Walkiewicz distinguishes herself by providing boots-on-the-ground support as needed for all recommended initiatives.  She has a broad range of vision from the 40,000 foot vantage all the way down to the blades of grass.

Walkiewicz has a background in chemistry and technology management, serving industry since 2004.  She has been at the forefront of solving challenges in coatings and wet process engineering primarily in aerospace manufacturing where throughput is important, and quality is paramount.  Through her 15 years as a professional, she has been a catalyst and team leader making significant technical contributions and shaping culture.  As a consultant, she is accelerating the pace of innovation to meet new market demands, discovering new applications for innovative products and technologies, and assisting companies with scale and expansion initiatives along the way.

Prior to launching DRW Consulting, Walkiewicz held managerial and directorship roles in manufacturing, including wet process engineering, product development, research and development, quality assurance and environmental health and safety.  She has also served as a technical advisor on the strategy team of a global aerospace fastener manufacturing company.

Walkiewicz is active in professional organizations.  Walkiewicz has served as the Chairman and Vice Chair of The Society of Materials and Process Engineering and as the Professional Development Chair and Events Chair of the Society of Women Engineers Sierra Nevada Section.  She is or has been a member of  SCIP, The Strategic Consortium for Intelligence Professionals, AAC Aluminum Anodizer's Council, ACS American Chemical Society, ASC Adhesives and Sealants Council, ECS Electrochemical Society, CCAI Chemical Coaters Association, ASM American Society for Metals, and the NASF National Association for Surface Finishing.

Walkiewicz has been invited to speak in multiple engagements including the 2022 IMAT Conference and the EAA AirVenture Conference delivering a seminar on surface preparation for structural bonding.  She's been the Master of Ceremonies for the 2022 and 2023 Society of Women Engineers  Awards Banquet.  She provided a seminar for Penn State's 2023 Additive Manufacturing Master's Program cohort on "The Entrepreneurial Mindset for Engineers".  Additionally, Walkiewicz has been a panelist at multiple events in support of professional development for the local workforce.
